Police: Wood chipper, chainsaws stolen in Cortlandville

CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect who stole a wood chipper and chainsaws in Cortlandville.

The deputies are asking anyone who knows who took the items from a parking lot on Starr Road to contact them.

Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies believe this happened sometime between Thursday evening and early Monday morning.

OSWEGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Due to the spread of coronavirus in Central New York, Oswego City Hall is closed to the public until further notice.

The City also announced that city taxes, water and sewer fee deadlines will be extended for 30 days with no penalty.

ITHACA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Tompkins County Health Department alerted the public on Sunday that an employee at the Ithaca Wegmans, located at 500 S. Meadow St., tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a press release, the employee worked multiple shifts at the Wegmans Coffee Shop over the last few weeks.

On March 12, 2020, the NCAA canceled its 2020 Men’s Basketball Tournament.  Consequently, and as provided for in the Station’s Basketball Madness Official Rules and due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station (and Nexstar Media Group, Inc.), both the national and local market Basketball Madness Bracket Challenge contests have been canceled. No new entries will be accepted and any previously submitted entries will be deleted within five (5) business days.
