Differences in the use of different types of wood chippers

The wood chipper is also called the wood slicer, which belongs to one of the wood processing series equipment, which is widely used in the material preparation section of the professional production process such as textile, papermaking, pulping and wood-based board. The main cutting materials of this machine are small-diameter wood, bamboo, slabs and surplus materials of felled secondary fuelwood after peeling. But regarding too thick (above 350mm), too fine (below 30mm), too short (below 250mm), too thin (below 5mm), and irregular materials (undifferentiated stumps, branches, etc.) that are not sufficient for uniform cutting, or only the material Blocking on the original foundation, it has the function of layered cutting for insufficient slices of bamboo with wall thickness less than 5 mm.
Wood chippers can be divided into disc chippers and drum chippers. They can cut large and small materials including logs, slabs, veneers, bamboo, corn stalks, cotton stalks, reeds and other non-wood fiber stalks. To form a uniform sheet material, the length of the sheet can be adjusted within the range as required. It is the ideal equipment produced in the paper industry and the board industry. The products processed by some models of the disc wood chipper can be directly used for the cultivation of edible fungi.
1. The drum chipper is mainly used to cut branches, small diameter wood, slabs, slats, etc. with a diameter or thickness of less than 120 mm. The cut wood chips are used as the material for fiberboard and pulp. The cutting organization is a rotating drum with several flying knives mounted on it. When the flying knives rotate, the wood is processed into technical wood chips. There are multiple square through holes on the outer edge of the drum, which can allow the wood chips to be discharged smoothly; the feeding structure is composed of the feeding interface, the upper and lower feeding rollers and the feeding gap adjustment organization, and the wood entering from the feeding interface is fed by the upper and lower feeding rollers It is pressed and fed to the cutting structure at a speed to control the size of the cut wood chips; when processing thick wood, the feed gap structure is used for conditioning. After the wood chips are selected, the larger ones must enter again between the blade and the baffle to be destroyed. The wood chips cut by this chipper are of lower quality.
2. The disc chipper is composed of cutter head, cutting knife, bed knife, cutter head blades, etc. On the front of the cutter head, there are grooves for cutting blades, which are arranged 10°~15° radially. There is a wedge-shaped adjustment block at the bottom of the blade to adjust the extension of the blade; a pitch adjustment block is installed at the rear to adjust the compensation length of the blade after sharpening. There is a through gap on the cutter head along the direction of the blade, and the chipped wood can be turned to the other side of the cutter head. The outer edge of the cutter head is evenly equipped with blades, and the airflow generated by the blades blows the wood chips out of the discharge port.
The machine has 3 types: few cutters, multiple cutters and spiral surface cutters. The first two types of cutting wood chips have poor uniformity. The spiral surface cutter disk chipper is in contact with the cutter head during the cutting process. The pressure is small, the wood chips are cut neatly, the chip is less, the cutter head is less worn, and the length of the cut wood chips is the same, and the qualified rate of cutting wood chips can reach about 97%.
